As the Chairman of Priorities Committee of Ambunti – Dreikikir Joint District Planning and Budget (JDP & BPC), I am enchanted to see that a Five Year Development Plan has been developed for the District.

The drawing of a Five Year Development Plan for a District is a mandatory requirement under Section 33A 93) (d) of the Organic Law on Provincial and Local Levels Governments. Section 33A (3) (d) provides that the Joint District Planning and Budget Priorities Committee draws a Five Year Development Plan and establish an annual funding estimate for the District. This Five – Year Development Plan for Ambunti – Dreikikir District effects the decision.

This Plan is proposed for using the funds that will be provided by the National Government and from other sources over the next years. The Plan has a budget in access of K1.5 million yearly over the next five years.

This Plan is not to be used for personal interest or political gain. It should not be seen as a savior but as a guide to effectively utilize the allocated K1.5million to achieve the districts Goals and Objectives.

I wish to conclude by saying that people of Ambunti – Dreikikir District once again as together we stand and unite in one, this plan will only be successful and be beneficial to us all and we will fully achieve the future proposed developments. It is not a first time because we have worked together for some years now and have achieved the positive developments for Ambunti-Dreikikir District. I again would like to see all government officers, NGO’s, Churches and every individual person in Ambunti – Dreikikir to cooperate with honesty and transparency to allow for many developments to take place in the Electorate
